Workers were seen putting the finishing touches on the new roof at the Chattooga County Courthouse late last week. 

The work was done by American Roofing in Summerville.  American Roofing was the winner of a bid to replace the deteriorated roof on the building that was originally built in 1909.   American Roofing was one of three companies to place a bid with Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry.

The cost to the county for the new roof was $65,000.
