A Chattooga County jury of ten men and two women found Summerville resident Angela Rowland guilty of murder in the shooting death of Ronald Moates in December of 2019.

Summerville Police said that Rowland’s claims of self defense were not plausible.  Rowland was arrested in January of 2020 after a lengthy investigation into the shooting death of Moates.

Rowland has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by Chattooga County Superior Court Judge Kristina Cook Graham.
