Rural King is expanding in northwest Georgia with the opening of its new store in Rome, giving customers across the region a new destination for farm, home and outdoor essentials.
The new store is located at 2770 Martha Berry Highway NE, Suite 600 in Rome, and grand opening festivities are set for Friday, March 27, through Sunday, March 29. Store officials say shoppers can expect special offers throughout the weekend.
As part of the celebration, new customers who sign up in-store for RK Rewards during grand opening weekend will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of four $500 Rural King gift cards. Customers visiting the store can also enjoy a complimentary bottle of Rural King water.
Rural King, a family-owned retailer that has served rural communities since 1960, says the Rome location is designed to meet the needs of customers across northwest Georgia. The store offers farm and home supplies, including livestock and pet products, workwear, power equipment, tools, automotive products and seasonal merchandise. The location also features mobile and self-checkout options while still emphasizing personal customer service.
Rural King Chief Operating Officer Michael Ladd called the opening of the Rome location an important step for the company in Georgia.
According to Ladd, northwest Georgia’s strong agricultural roots and close-knit community make Rome a natural fit for Rural King’s continued growth.
The Rome store carries a variety of well-known brands, including Purina, Carhartt, Ariat, Wrangler, Bad Boy Mowers, Husqvarna, Milwaukee, Smith & Wesson, Mobil 1 and Shell Rotella.
Company leaders also say Rural King remains committed to supporting local communities through involvement with youth organizations such as 4-H and FFA, along with veterans and first responders through partnerships including the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Rural King now operates more than 140 stores in 17 states.
