Across the state of Georgia, Scholastic Aptitude Test scores dropped slightly from 1466 in 2008 to 1460 in 2009- in Chattooga County the county’s two high schools have the results from their student’s S.A.T. scores.

Chattooga County High School saw an increase in their student’s S.A.T. scores up 18 points from 1329 to 1347, but still below the average for the state of Georgia.

Trion High School students scored an average of 1596 which was down 29 points from the average score in 2008 of 1625, but still well above the state average.

The national average S.A.T. score was 1493, down two points from last year.  Good news for Georgia – minority students in the state have outperformed their peers across the country on S.A.T. scores.
