
The Salvation Army of Rome held a canned food drive last week in advance of the Holiday season. The Rome Salvation Army serves Floyd, Polk and Chattooga Counties. In addition to providing free groceries or meals, The Salvation Army helps vulnerable families sign up for public assistance programs that address hunger. The Salvation Army in Rome operates a Food Pantry that is open on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 9 AM – 3 PM at their location at 317 East First Avenue in Rome. The Salvation Army food pantry serves everyone from low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, working poor, and anyone else in need of assistance.
