Judge Jon Dennis said on Monday that he spoke with Santa and confirmed that the jolly old elf will make his first appearance in Summerville the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Judge Dennis said, “I have spoken to Santa who hopes to make appearances on his sleigh on East Washington the Saturday after Thanksgiving, from 10 am until 1 pm, as well as the first two Sundays in December from 1 pm till 4 pm. Depending on many variables, Santa will most likely be masked, though I doubt anyone will confuse him with the Caped Crusader.”
Judge Dennis added that there will also be a Facebook Live event with Santa on a date to be determined. Feel free to bring your camera (along with your four-footed and two-footed children).
As has always been the case, these visits are free. Should anyone wish to donate either food for our Chattooga County Foodbank (or other places where food can be delivered to those in need) or new gifts for our county’s children, one may do so by placing these items in one of the two sleighs. However, gifts of any sort are not expected, and they most assuredly are not required.
