Santa Claus needs your help.  Santa is collecting food for our local food bank and is asking that anyone who can, please drop off a donation of non-perishable food items at 292 East Washington Street in Summerville.  You can donate anytime – just put the food in Santa’s sleigh on the front porch. 

Last month, the Community Resource Center of Chattooga County helped 682 families that included 686 children with groceries.  With the holidays approaching, the need is greater than ever.  State Court Judge Jon Dennis tells WZQZ News that Santa has a busy schedule this week including Breakfast with Santa at North Summerville Baptist Church and the Peppermint Project at Sloppy Floyd Park on Saturday.  Santa will be available for photos on East Washington Street this Sunday afternoon.

If you’re able, Santa will accept food for the local food pantry when you come to have your photo made.  Food donations are appreciated – but not required for pictures with Santa.
