Santa in Uniform once again delivered for children in need in Chattooga County, even though things had to be done a bit differently due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Normally, Summerville Firefighters take children to Wal-Mart and allow them to pick out their own gifts and then treat the children to a meal. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the decision was made to gather the items on the children’s lists and let families pick up the gifts at the Summerville Fire Department.
Children and their families were also treated to Christmas hams courtesy of Chattooga County Superior Court Judge Kristina Cook Graham.
Santa in Uniform spent a total of $13,338.89 this year and served 78 children.
