On Saturday, a good number of Chattooga County voters turned out to take advantage of Saturday voting for the General Election that is coming up next month.

Chattooga County voters are voting on statewide candidates like governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state and agricultural commissioner.  There is also one contested local election on the ballot for the midterm election.  Democratic incumbent school board member Lynn Hall is facing off with Republican challenger Lori Brady to represent the Menlo District on the Chattooga Board of Education.

According to the Chattooga County Registrars Office, 150 voters cast their ballots on Saturday.   That brings the total number of early voters in the county up to 1341 in the first week of advanced voting in Chattooga County.

Early voting continues this week and voters will have the chance to cast their ballots again this Saturday.   All early voting in Chattooga County takes place at the Chattooga County Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville.
