This is the final week  for  scarecrow’s to be entered and displayed for judging in the first Chattooga County Scarecrow Contest.  The deadline for entry is Friday, September 28^th at 5pm at the Chattooga County Extension Office.  Scarecrows must be completed for judging by Saturday, September 29^th at 2pm.  Judging will begin at 3pm, and the winners will be announced at Down Home Farm Day at noon on October 27. The People's Choice award will also be given at that time. Voting for the people’s choice award will begin on Monday at  Merle Norman, Yolis, American Roots, Pal’s Coffee Shop, Farm Bureau, and the City of Summerville. For more information or questions call the Chattooga County Extension office at 706-857-0744.
