An accident involving a Chattooga County School bus happened on Highway 27 in front of Walmart on Thursday afternoon. Chattooga County School Supt. Jared Hosmer told WZQZ News on Thursday evening that around 10 students were transported to the new freestanding AtriumHealth Floyd Chattooga Emergency Department that is adjacent to Walmart. Hosmer said that none of the students appeared to have any serious injuries and that they were being released to their parents at the ER on Thursday evening. The accident involved another vehicle, but a report was not immediately available from the Georgia State Patrol. WZQZ will have a preliminary report from the Georgia State Patrol when it is released on Friday.
