The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a 50-mile-radius search for foster teenagers who have been reported as runaways to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The sheriff’s department and the Walker County Department of Family and Children Services cannot confirm the identities to the media, since releasing their identities is prohibited by state law.
The sheriff’s department has posted flyers in the target areas to help locate the children, who are runaways from the Rock Spring area.
Concerned citizens on Facebook and local blogs have mentioned that the children ran away from the Cottage in Rock Spring and those citizens have posted a link that describes the children in question.
It is believed that the one of the teens is not from the area and there are two originally from Murray County, two from Walker County, and one from Bartow County.
