Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger says that he is running for reelection next year, despite bearing the brunt of former President Donald Trump’s accusations that the election was “stolen” from him in Georgia.
Raffensperger is expected to face-off against fellow Republican and Trump supporter Jody Hice in the GOP Primary for Secretary of State.
Both Raffensperger and Governor Brian Kemp have been the subjects of attack from the former president since he lost the 2020 race to President Joe Biden.
Raffensperger told a friendly crowd in Gwinnet County this week that he would be running to retain his position.
