The Georgia Secretary of States office is investigating a Chattooga County public official on charges of voter fraud.  AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio spoke this afternoon with Vincent Russo, general council to Secretary of State Karen Handle about the investigation.

Russo stated that the Secretary of State’s Inspector General "does have a case open in Chattooga County but we are unable to confirm who is being investigated."  AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio requested more information regarding the investigation, however Russo said that since it was an open investigation there would be no further comment from the Secretary of States office.

AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio has learned that investigators from the Secretary of States office are scheduled to be in Chattooga County this Thursday, presumably to interview voters in relation to this case.
