Qualifying has ended for local elections in Chattooga County. There were a total of 4 Republicans who qualified for 3 School Board seats on the Chattooga County Board of Education. Sammy Ballard will be facing off against Andrew Stivers for the Republican nomination for seat 3. The winner of that primary will face off against Democrat Eddie Massey.
Brad Hayes qualified as a Republican for seat 2 and will be running against Alma Lewis in the general election. Julia Houston qualified as a Republican for seat 4 and will be facing incumbent Larry Weesner in the general election in November.
In the nonpartisan state court judge race Jon Dennis the incumbent was the only person to qualify.
