Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio today that his department has made an arrest in a suspicious fire that occurred earlier this month in the Subligna area.   

Fire crews were called to a structure fire at 787 Stinnett Road in Subligna around 5 PM on Tuesday May 5^th. 

The Georgia Fire Marshall’s office was called in to investigate the suspicious blaze. 

Sheriff Everett said that his department has arrested 26 year old Tracy Daniel Overby of a Chamberlain Road, LaFayette address and charged him with first degree arson in relation to the May5th Subligna fire.   

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
