A forty-six-year-old woman was arrested by Chattooga County Sheriff’s deputies last week after she was accused of stealing energy drinks from the Dollar General store in Gore. According to a report released this week, store associates called deputies after the woman left the store with several Red Bulls in her pocketbook that she didn’t pay for. Police reviewed video cameras and went to the home of Mary Elizabeth Carter in Summerville and arrested her. Carter admitted to the deputies that she had stolen the energy drinks. Carter was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of shoplifting.
