Local real estate developer Larry Howard wanted to put up a sign on his commercial property on Highway 48 in Summerville, but first he had to get a sign variance from the Summerville City Council.  The Summerville City Council voted to approve the sign variance at the property located behind CVS Pharmacy and BB&T Bank in Summerville on Monday evening during their regular council meeting.  There are several business located in the shopping plaza including Ledford’s Pharmacy and The City Diner.
