A Chattooga County deputy was dispatched to the Teloga area over the weekend after a report of a man sleeping in his vehicle.

When the deputy arrived on the scene he found a man sleeping in a green Jeep Wrangler.  According to the deputy, twenty-year-old Ethan Odell was asleep in the driver’s seat with his seat belt on.   The deputy also observed an open beer can along with more beer in the vehicle.

When the deputy woke up Mr. Odell he asked him for the beer that was open in his lap. When asked how much alcohol he had consumed, Odell said “about three.”   Odell at first told the deputy that the beer had come from his home, but later admitted that the beer came from the “Shell in the Hole” at Trion.

Odell was arrested for an open container of alcohol and underage possession of alcohol.
