The LaFayette Police Department was notified early Thursday morning, of a social media post indicating a possible threat at LaFayette High School.
Police worked with the Walker County School System to follow up… and the information was found to be a non-credible threat. The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office identified a Ringgold Middle School student as the origin of the threat and charges were brought against the student.
LaFayette Police are providing an increased officer presence at the High School and LaFayette Middle School today.
