
A parent of a student at Chattooga High School reported a social media threat to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office last week. The parent said that he had seen messages on social media sent to his child with threats to “shoot up” their residence. A responding deputy spoke with a school resource officer from Chattooga High School who said that they were aware of the threats and were taking action do deal with the student or students in question who had allegedly sent the threatening messages. The parent said that they wanted a report on file at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office concerning the incident.
