A homeless man from South Georgia is accused of causing a disturbance on the square in LaFayette, last week.

Four Walker County Firefighters were entering a downtown restaurant when they said 22 year old Johnny Devan Willis began taunting them using racial slurs and removing his shirt before charging at them, as if he wanted to fight.

LaFayette Police picked Willis up near First Baptist on North Main… finding he is from Lee County in South Georgia – where he is wanted on warrants.

Willis did not know the firemen – who said they were offended by the racial slurs and had no idea why the man wanted to fight.

He was taken to jail on charges of disorderly conduct and four counts of simple assault.
