A special election will be held to fill the unexpired term of former City Councilman David Ford who passed away earlier this month.  At this past week’s Summerville City Council meeting, city attorney Albert Palmour said that the election would be held on May 21st – the same day as the General Election Primary.  The city has yet to announce details about qualifying for the seat.  Ford had served on the Summerville City Council since 2011.
