The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement saying there would be a "high fire danger" this afternoon and into the evening due to strong winds. Remember, you must obtain a permit if you wish to burn outdoors.
HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING
FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES OF 25 PERCENT OR LESS CAN BE EXPECTED
FOR 4 OR MORE HOURS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING. WINDS WILL
BE NORTHWEST AROUND 15 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL HIGHER GUSTS.
AS FUELS CONTINUE TO DRY TODAY… EXPECT HIGH FIRE DANGER
CONDITIONS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.
