At Thursday evenings commissioner meeting, Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters stated that around $20,000 will be spent by the county for road striping.  A bid was awarded to Peach State Markings of Calhoun to paint the new lines on county roads.  The roads approved by the commissioner are:

Old Highway 27 from Trion to the Walker County Line

Penn Bridge Road from Highway 27 to Alexander Road

Mahan Road from Highway 48 to Trion – Teloga Road

York Road

Giles Road

Harrisburg Road from Highway 337 to the Walker County Line

Center Post Road from Tate Road to the bridge

Taliaferro Springs Road

The commissioner said that these are the sections of road his office has recieved the most complaints on.  He added that if any roads needs striping that residents can contact his office and they will be added to the next round of road striping.  The striping is being paid for out of SPLOST funds.
