Time change is this weekend; don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour before going to bed Saturday.
Remember, Spring Forward – Fall Backward.
Now is also the time to change batteries in smoke detectors as the annual time change is an ideal time to be certain your alarms are functioning properly.
This year 29 Georgians have died in 25 residential fires. Fire investigators determined that only two of those homes had a working smoke alarm.
In 2015, 83 residential fires in the states resulted in 99 deaths and of the 83 fires, 75 of the homes did not have a working smoke alarm.
Everyone should plan and rehearse and escape plan for their home in case of fire.
