A sputtering engine eventually led to a car fire, which was able to be contained by law enforcement.

Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call on Glen Drive, arriving to a Nissan Frontier truck that had light smoke coming from the engine compartment. Using the fire extinguisher in his patrol car, the Deputy was able to control the fire, until the Summerville Fire Department arrived on scene.

The driver of the Frontier, stated that after driving it for a little while, the engine started skipping and sputtering and then she noticed smoke coming from under the hood.

No injuries were reported.
