With the resignation of former State Court Solicitor Tim Perry state court has come to a hault in Chattooga County.

Perry stated that he was quitting the solicitor’s position in order to run for State Court Judge, a seat that is currently held by Judge Sam Finster.  Finster was appointed to the position by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue after the resignation of Carlton Vines.

Now the governor must appoint a new solicitor before state court can resume in Chattooga County.  While Perry and Finster have been at odds over the past several months, both have stated that they hope Governor Perdue will appoint someone quickly to the solicitor’s position so that state court can resume in Chattooga County.
