Pursuant to Section 4-13-7 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (Humane Care for Equines Act), the Georgia Department of Agriculture will conduct a live auction on the following equine, to wit:
The auction will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Mansfield Impound Barn located at 2834 Marben Farm Rd, Mansfield, Georgia 30055. The said equine may be inspected at the facility beginning at 10:00 a.m.; the sale will start at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Pictures of the equine will be posted, when available, on the Department website: www.agr.georgia.gov. Contact the Equine Health office with any questions at 404-656-3713. (Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) Sealed bids will not be accepted on these equine.
PL LUKE – 1 1/2 yr old bay grade colt
PL CODY – 1 yr old bay and white grade colt
PL CROTON – 1 yr old dun grade filly
PL CHEYENNE- 3 ½ Yr old dark bay grade/QH filly
WIRE – 2 ½ Yr old sorrel grade/Saddlebred filly
PL SANDY – 2 ½ Yr old sorrel grade mare
FIONA – 3 Yr old bay walking horse grade mare
PL LAYLA – 13 Yr old gray grade mare
WOFFORD – 8 Yr old sorrel grade gelding
HERMINI – 3 Yr old sorrel walking horse/grade gelding
PL RAIN – 10 Yr old sorrel & white grade mare
PL TYRA – 16 Yr old palomino grade mare
PL NAPPA – 10 Yr old sorrel grade mare
PL SHAKIRA – 3 Yr old dun grade mare
PL COAL – 14 Yr old black/white roan grade/appaloosa mare
RU SKIPS WINDSONG – 13 Yr old Registered palomino paint mare
PL PENNY – 12 Yr old bay grade mare
PL DAISY – 10 Yr old white grade/appaloosa mare
BRASSEY – 12 Yr old Sorrel grade mare
SCOUT – 12 yr. old Buckskin grade Gelding
VIETNAM – 20 yr. old, Chestnut Grade/Anglo-arabian Gelding
HANK – 4 yr. old, Bay Grade/QH Gelding
Mc NEAL – l year old Bay Grade Gelding
BLACKJACK – 2 yr. old Black and White APHA Gelding
No representation is made regarding any registration or possible registration neither of said equine nor of the physical condition of said equine. Any documentation in possession of the Department of Agriculture regarding registration, physical condition or past veterinary treatment of said equine is available upon request; however, not withstanding the availability of such documentation, or lack thereof, or verbal information given to the Department, said sale is for the equine on an "as is" basis without any representation regarding registration, physical condition or acceptable use of the animal. The Department reserves the right to add or withdraw equines to or from any auction.
The successful bidder must be prepared to tender the price by cashiers check, money order, cash, or with personal check (accompanied with letter of bank approval) and move the animal from the facility by 3 p.m. on May 15, 2011. Payment MUST be made at the time the animal is picked up. If a successful bidder fails to tender the price as required, the Georgia Department of Agriculture may refuse to accept any other bids made by the successful bidder at this auction or any future auction.
These horses are subject to periodic inspection by the Georgia Department of Agriculture for a period of 12 months. Purchaser agrees that he/she will not transfer ownership of equine purchased at this sale to anyone who has had equines impounded by the Department, or a case under investigation for a violation of the Humane Care for Equines Act, O.C.G.A. Sec.4-13-1, et seq. If the Georgia Department of Agriculture determines that this agreement is violated, the equine may be subject to immediate impoundment.
