The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a trailer in Lyerly.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, the trailer was stolen sometime earlier this month on Oak Hill Road in Lyerly.  Zachary Sparks told a responding deputy that some time overnight, his utility trailer had been stolen out of his front yard.  Sparks said that the trailer was black with a wooden floor that he had stained and had a black mesh tailgate.  The trailer also had a red lock on the tongue.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
