A Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputy recovered a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop Monday. According to the report, the 2001 Mercury Marquis, which had no tag, was stopped after the driver failed to stop at the intersection fo Highway 100 and Highway 114. When checking the VIN number on the vehicle it came back stolen from Chattanooga. The woman said her grandfather, who lives in Rainsville, Al. had bought the vehicle and she was unsure of where or from whom he had bought it. Once the vehicle was confirmed stolen by Chattanooga authorities, the woman was transported to the Chattooga County Jail to talk to investigators.
