Last week, a Penn Street man reported the theft of a car to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a report released on Tuesday, Tommy Slayton told a responding deputy that a woman came on his property around 6 AM on September 30th, got inside a 2013 silver Ford Taurus, and drove off with the vehicle.

A witness confirmed the details of the incident to the deputy and said that the suspect was related to her.

The witness was told that if she had any contact with the suspect, she should call 911.

The case was turned over to an investigator.
