A Summerville Attorney has been chosen to represent Chattooga County on the Primary Healthcare Centers Board of Directors. Primary Healthcare Centers operates medical clinics where the payment is based on income to help patients underserved by the medical community.
The organization has plans to open a new clinic in Chattooga County sometime this year. The clinic will be located in Dr. Hermann Spivey’s old office building, across from the Nursing Home in Summerville. Summerville Attorney Jon Dennis will represent Chattooga County on Primary Healthcare’s Board of Directors.
Officers for the this year are Rev. Matt Hampton, pastor of McFarland United Methodist Church as President, Krista Seckinger, former educator and activist as Vice-President, Robin Samples, principal of Rossville Elementary School as Secretary and Al Hutchison, of Georgia Northwestern Technical College as Treasurer.
The governing board’s efforts support PHCC’s mission. The board is legally responsible for ensuring that PHCC is operating in accordance with those laws and regulations and is financially viable. Day-to-day leadership and management responsibility rests with staff under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer.
