The Summerville City Council is having another called meeting this evening to deal with the ongoing water crisis.  The city council has been having meetings just about every week for the past month as the city grapples with solutions to the city’s water quality and the cost associated with a solution.  Despite public outcries, the city has adopted a budget that will raise utility rates for the city’s water customers.  Two council members, Dana Mosely and Joe Money voted against the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year Budget because of the rate increases.  The meeting gets underway at 5 PM this evening, and you can “attend” the meeting virtually.
