The Summerville City Council will hold their monthly meeting for June coming up tomorrow evening at 5 PM at Summerville City Hall.  A good portion of the agenda for tomorrow evening’s meeting deals with alcohol issues.

The council is expected to take action on the proposed “entertainment district” for the downtown area.  The idea behind the district is to mimic what the City of Rome did when they created a space in downtown where patrons could drink alcohol at various events.

Also, the council will discussing the city’s packaged liquor ordinance which would allow for the creation of liquor stores within the city limits.

Another agenda item is a request from Judy’s Herb Shop for a alcohol license.

The meeting is open to the public.
