The Summerville City Council unanimously voted to approve former Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters as the new Summerville City Manager.  Now, the council will negotiate terms of employment and salary and come up with a contract to offer the new city manager. 

WZQZ News spoke with Winters on Tuesday who said, “I want to thank the Mayor and City Council for this opportunity to serve and work for them as the next Summerville City Manager.  This is a great honor and privilege to be chose from a group of very capable candidates.  I look forward to getting started soon and working with a great team of very knowledgeable and hard working city employees”.

The council will be meeting to negotiate the details ahead of a final vote naming Winters as City Manager of the City of Summerville.
