The City of Summerville, Georgia, has announced it will be selling a selection of its surplus vehicles to the highest and best bidders through a sealed bidding process. This presents an opportunity for the public to acquire various city-maintained vehicles, ranging from utility trucks to sedans.
Interested members of the public are invited to submit sealed bids for individual vehicles. Each bid must be clearly marked with the specific vehicle it pertains to. Bids will be received at City of Summerville, located at 120 Georgia Ave., Summerville, Georgia 30747.
The deadline for bid submission is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025. All submitted bids will be formally opened at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025. The City of Summerville reserves the right to reject any and all bids received.

For those wishing to inspect the vehicles prior to submitting a bid, arrangements can be made by contacting Summerville City Hall at 706-859-0900. This will provide potential buyers with the opportunity to assess the condition of the vehicles firsthand.
“This is a straightforward process to liquidate surplus assets no longer needed by the City,” said a City spokesperson. “We encourage anyone interested in these vehicles to review the details, inspect the fleet, and submit their best offer.”
