Summerville Main Street is calling on local families to participate in a heartfelt initiative, “Honor Your Veteran,” as part of its ongoing “Salute To The Troops” program. The program aims to create a poignant display honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation.
Families are invited to create and present personalized veteran displays, offering a unique opportunity to pay tribute to their loved ones who have served in the military. These displays can be dedicated to individual veterans or groups of veterans, showcasing their service, memories, and personal stories.
“This is a wonderful way for our community to come together and collectively express our gratitude and respect for the sacrifices made by our service members,” said Susan Locklear from Summerville Main Street. “We encourage all families with a special veteran in their lives to consider participating and sharing their story.”
There is no charge to set up a display, making it accessible for all interested families. However, due to anticipated interest and limited available space, reserving a spot in advance is essential. Prospective participants are encouraged to act quickly to secure their place in this special recognition event.
To learn more about participating or to reserve a display space, interested families should contact Summerville Main Street directly. Inquiries and reservations can also be made by emailing slocklear@summervillega.org.
The deadline for registration and space reservation is Thursday, October 30. Families are urged to reach out before this date to ensure they can be a part of Summerville’s “Honor Your Veteran” tribute.
