The Summerville City Council is actively looking to hire an interim city manager, after the council did not offer a new contract to current City Manager Janice Galloway.  Galloway had served as city manager since 2018 and is a long-time employee of the city. 

The council says that those wishing to submit resumes for the interim position have until December 8th at 5 PM.  Resumes may be submitted at Summerville City Hall.

The requirements include:

• A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business or a related field
• Two to five years of management or administration in the public sector

The council says that they are planning to hire an interim city manager while they search for a candidate to fill the position permanently.
