It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Summerville.  Over the past several days, City of Summerville workers along with Chattooga County Public Works and Summerville Main Street volunteers have been busy decorating the downtown area.

Susan Locklear, Summerville Main Street Director said, “If you ever wondered about the Christmas decorating in Downtown Summerville…. Well it takes a lot of hard work and it couldn’t be as magical without the Main Street Program Volunteers.”

The volunteers work along side the City of Summerville employees to decorate the downtown area.  The county assists in decorating around the courthouse.

Locklear added, “Main Street Volunteers give it all they have working tirelessly without any pay because they love our community and want to bring joy to all who see our town. Thank you to each individual that is volunteering or working on Christmas in Downtown Summerville.”
