A thirty-four-year-old Summerville man was arrested on drug charges after Summerville Police stopped him for speeding.

According to police, the man was doing 62 in a 30 mph zone.  Police stopped the man at George’s Kwik Stop and could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.  When asked if he had marijuana, police say the driver looked down at his shirt pocket and replied, “yes”.   The driver explained to the officer that he had started smoking marijuana that day at work after he “got into it” with his boss.

Officers then asked him if he had been drinking, and the man admitted to drinking two “small Fireball whiskeys” before he left work.

Rocky Nathaniel Jarret of a Ninth Street Trion address was arrested and charged with speeding, DUI and drug charges.
