
An Orchard Road, Summerville man was arrested by Summerville Police on charges of driving under the influence. During a traffic stop, officers discovered that the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest.
Police say that they stopped a vehicle being driven by Kimothy Lavone Perry, age fifty-five, after observing that the vehicle had no headlights. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs that he might be under the influence of alcohol. After a consent to search the vehicle was given, officers found several alcoholic beverages inside. Perry admitted to officers that he had been drinking and failed several field sobriety tests.
Officers informed Perry of the warrant for his arrest on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Perry was arrested on the warrant and DUI charges and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
