A twenty-two-year-old Summerville man was arrested shorty after midnight on Wednesday, just across the state line in Cherokee County, Alabama near Cloudland.  Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies said that they attempted to stop Jackson Lowenburg who was observed traveling at a high rate of speed.  Lowenburg sped away in an attempt to elude the deputy and lost control of his vehicle on County Road 72.  Lowenburg crashed his vehicle and was arrested on charges of DUI and attempting to elude.  EMS checked out Lowenburg and he was then transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.  Lownburg was released on bond yesterday morning at 11 AM.
