A Summerville man who had been arrested in Floyd County on simple battery and possession and use of drug-related objects has now been charged with bring drugs into the Floyd County Jail.

According to arrest reports from Floyd County, Erick Leon Wilson, age 24, of Trion-Teloga Road in Summerville is facing the additional charges after he was found to have a Schedule I controlled substance and crossing the guard lines of the Floyd County Jail with the drugs.

He was originally arrested on the simple battery charges after he allegedly pushed a woman into a wall on Monday night.

Wilson was released from the Floyd County Jail on a $5,700 bond on Tuesday of this week.
