Kevin Alphonso Boykin, age 48 of Summerville, was arrested on Martha Berry Blvd in front of Berry College after reports said he was found walking in the middle of Highway 27 while high on drugs.

Police stated that when they arrived on scene they found Boykin sweating profusely and told that that people were trying to kill him. Officers added that it appeared that Boykin was under the influence of drugs.

After taking him into custody and placing him in the back of the patrol car, Boykin began to kick the right rear window.  Officers added that they then sat Boykin upright and while attempting to place the seat belt on him he began to kick them.

Boykin is charged with pedestrian under the influence of alcohol and obstruction of police.
