A Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to a Back Berryton Road address in Summerville, where an argument between a mother and her full-grown son, had resulted in the call being made.

The woman said her son was intoxicated, adding that while inside the home, he had pushed her and refused to calm down; according to the report, the deputy detected a strong odor of alcohol and stated that the man was very unsteady on his feet, he also continued to speak in a loud voice and use profanity. The statement provided by the complainant and the actions of her son led to the arrest of 33 year old Douglas Payne on a Disorderly Conduct charge.
