A fourty-eight-year-old Summerville man was arrested last week in Floyd County after an investigation revealed that he had promised to build swimming pools for two different families, but failed to deliver on the promises.

Floyd County Police say that Chattooga County resident John Anthony Tucker took $10,000 from one family last year and promised to build a swimming pool and that he took $18,000 from another family to build them a swimming pool.

Floyd County authorities say that Anthony never performed any of the promised work.  He simply took the money and never came back to do the job.

Tucker has been charged with two counts felony theft by deception and two counts conversion of payments for real property investments.
