A Chattooga County man has been indicted in Whitley County, Kentucky on drug charges stemming from an arrest in July on Interstate 75.

Police in Williamsburg, Kentucky say that fifty-four-year-old Ronald Gravitt of Cleveland, Tennessee and forty-one-year-old Billy Trammell of Summerville, Georgia were arrested on July 13th of this year during the traffic stop and were found to be in possession of  carfentanil/fentanyl derivatives, methamphetamine and marijuana.  Police seized approximately 49 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 5 dosage units of suspected fentanyl, $1,406.55 in cash, approximately 9 grams of suspected marijuana, and an unidentified solid substance.

This past week Gravitt and  Trammell were indicated by a Grand Jury on drug trafficking charges and will stand trial in Whitley County, Kentucky.
