A twenty-seven-year-old Summerville man was arrested in Floyd County this weeks after he reportedly threatened a police officer.

Jail records indicate that Christopher Lee Wedgeworth of Summerville was stopped by officers for doing 83 mph in a 65 mph zone.  As officers began to speak with Wedgeworth, he allegedly told officers “If you touch me again, I will (expletive) deck you in the face.”

Officers said that Wedgeworth was intoxicated and was driving on a suspended license.

Wedgeworth was charged with reckless driving, speeding, driving on a suspended license, DUI and terroristic threats and acts.
