A Chisolm Trail, Summerville man called the sheriff’s office over a disagreement he had been having with some friends about a BBQ grill.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, the complainant said that a woman and man were picking up scrap metal to sell.  The couple discovered a BBQ grill in the garage, but the complainant told the couple that he was storing the grill for another person.   According to the complainant, the couple took the grill to the scrap yard in Trion and sold it for $33.

The responding deputy contacted the man who owned the grill and he said that the complainant had been storing it for him and that he had not given the couple permission to take the grill and sell it for scrap metal.

The owner of the grill asked for a report to be filed regarding the theft of the grill.
